Product Reviews:
| "... The map holder zips off and becomes a two-pocket tote-a-long. Nice touch. "The bag stays put but still disengages easily via the integrated handles. "Mounted on the bike and filled ... the ROADGEAR tankbag ... stayed in place, looked good doing it and has a 10-year warranty." Rider, June 2006
| | | | "... we choose the Jumbo Sport Tankbag from Roadgear." Motorcycle Consumer News, April 2002
| | | | "HASSLE-FREE LUGGAGE FOR THE LONG HAUL. Road Gear provided us with a selection of its bright red-and-black Sport bags, which are constructed of 100 Denier Cordura Plus. The bags we used included the 26-liter Jumbo Sport Tank Bag, the 40-liter Jumbo Sport Tail Bag, and the 65-liter Hi-Adventure Sport Saddle Bags. All the equipment from Road Gear has a stout, outdoor-equipment feel to it and is loaded with small features that lend an impression of excellent value. The main zippers on all the bags, for example, are the largest and smoothest of any we've seen. The impressive list of details includes rugged, anti-slip coatings on the surfaces that face the host motorcycle, and plenty of additional zippered pockets with expandable construction. All the Road Gear bags mounted easily to the F4, the Road Star and the ZR-7, turning them into long-ride animals. The Jumbo Sport Tail Bag, with its integrated bungee hooks, was especially easy to get on and off all the bikes, requiring no adjustments when moving from one to the other. There also was something about the construction of the Sport set that made us oddly happy to pack them. Whether it was their bright color or the impressive combination of useful features in a very well-put-together product, the bags made us excited at the prospect of getting out on the road and using them." Cycle World's Motorcycle Travel & Adventure, July 2001
| | | | "SUPER TANKERS. Tankbags for the hard-travelin' rider. ROADGEAR JUMBO SPORT TANKBAG. This large bag straps on and offers several clever features. Its main compartment is large, and when it's time to cram in that last little bit a zipper along the bottom exposes a pleat that expands it by up to 3 inches. Those pleats on the sides allow its two external pockets to expand and provide more than the usual amount of space. As for clever features the map pouch zips off and, with the pocket below and adjustable strap, forms a little shoulder pouch. The Roadgear is a top-line, high-buck tankbag. It's our choice."
